Like what you see on this website and want to get involved? There are several ways of getting started:

Learning Nunchaku-do

You can start with learning nunchaku-do quite easily. Instruction material is freely available at our website. Please see the techniques, the kumite, the kata & jitsu and the freestyle sections for free online video clips. All needed nunchaku-do products can be ordered at nunchaku.com.

Ranking

We have no requirements for ranking members, all members can rank themselves. Our reasoning is purely practical. First of all, we are not present in every country, so traveling for our members would be required. Our members often find this too expensive and/or too time consuming.

Second, nunchaku-do is by nature a competition sport. Fighters compete in classes defined by gender & height, not by rank. We put more emphasis on competition skills, then on ranks.

You can obtain a rank by studying the technique section of our website. You can learn for each rank in your own time and at your own pace. Please be sure to check the graduation rulebook to find out the requirements for each rank. Belts  and graduation patches can be ordered at nunchaku.com.

Membership

Membership is free; simply register as a new member. As a member, you can get in the contact with other members through the forum. Another option is to login and to use the search function to find members with similar interests. You can contact them directly through this website.

Affiliation with gyms, dojo’s and sport clubs

We are actively seeking affiliation with individual gyms, dojo's and sport clubs all over the world.

To establish a lasting affiliation, we have set the following minimum conditions to apply:

1. You are an official contact person for a professional run sport club, gym or dojo
2. The sport club practices nunchaku-do according to our rules
3. The sport club uses WNA products exclusively to practice nunchaku-do
4. The sport club has at least one teacher and at least 5 members for their nunchaku-do class

1. The link to your club’s website, the address and other relevant contact details
2. Some photo’s of your club when training nunchaku-do
3. Invoices from nunchaku.com that prove you and your members have purchased WNA nunchaku products before
4. A digital copy of a registry from the Chamber of Commerce or other official documents

These are just examples. Any prove that will confirm your club has met the 4 requirements will do. If your sport club is in compliance with these conditions, please contact us to make further arrangements.
