Prize winners EC2007
Written by Administrator

On the 19th of May, the WNA organized the European Championship 2007. Around 150 participants fiercely competed in 24 different classes.

In the expert and senior classes, it was clearly noticeable the fighters were fit & prepared. They showed a great fighting spirit, which resulted in some exciting matches for the audience.

In the aspirant and junior classes, the talent of the younger participants could not be ignored. In Kumite, we expect some fighters to move to the expert classes in the years to come and become serious rivalry for the current experts. The Kata & Freestyle forms also shows to be developing. The younger participants dared to try out new moves we have not seen tried on tournaments before.

Although there were many Dutch 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize winners, we can conclude that other European countries are up and coming. From all tournament registrations, 25% were from countries as Denmark, Belgium and Germany. They have certainly surpassed the beginner’s level and are to be reckoned with.

Throughout the day, over 200 visitors visited the tournament. We can look back on a great tournament and are thankful to all volunteers & participants who made this possible.

I would like to thank you all for creating the world nunchaku association. I have been practicing with the sticks as I call them for 34 years and I am working on a video. I am a beginner as far as the posting of my style but I hope to share this with you soon. My work with the sticks is based on self improvement and so I stick with the effortless method which also allows me to achieve very high speeds and elevated levels of awareness. I believe my work in this area will be inspirational to those who wish to use the nunchaku as a tool for self improvement and to harmonize there energy with that of the universe as I do on a regular basis. again thank you to all who have worked to improve the universe one person at a time by starting within.
